Hello!
Welcome, friends! I'm Allie, a thirty-something writer and Sometimes-Adult. I grew up in the Midwest, amid cornfields and soybeans, and often dreamed my backyard was the entrance to a thousand fantastical worlds. I graduated from Wheaton College with a bachelor's degree in English with a Writing Concentration in 2013. I've had several small publications in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, and I am currently in the process of querying my first novel, a YA Fantasy.I now live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, daughter, and two FANTABULOUS dogs. I spend my days banging my head against a keyboard, drinking way too much coffee, and wrangling my three adorable troublemakers.I've been in love with writing since I was three years old and started carrying a notebook and pen with me everywhere I went. I have dreamed of being a skybax rider, veterinarian, archaeologist, forensic scientist, wolf biologist, teacher, and librarian. Thirty-odd years later, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up but I've never tired of telling stories.Thank you for visiting me!

My non-fiction work has appeared on the Rabbit Room blog, as well as in 5-Minute Memoirs for Writer's Digest magazine. I received the Cascade Award for Unpublished Short Fiction from Oregon Christian Writers in 2019, and an Honorable Mention in Writer's Digest's 89th Annual Writing Competition for a children's short fiction story in 2020.
